Established in 2014, Koperasi Kopi Wanita Gayo (Kokowagayo) is committed to empowering women coffee farmers through sustainable farming practices and fair trade principles. Based in the Bener Meriah and Central Aceh regions, the cooperative works with 674 farmers across 14 villages, supported by 14 farmer delegates and 14 local collectors selected from within the farming community. Operating at elevations of 800–1600 meters above sea level, Kokowagayo produces export-quality Gayo coffee while promoting organic agriculture, environmental sustainability, and the economic well-being of farming families.
